RMS Class 6 (Rashtriya Military Schools) is open for boys and girls aged 10-12 years as of March 31 of the admission year, featuring a rigorous academic and physical environment with admissions via a Common Entrance Test (CET).
Age: 10 to 12 years as on 31 March of the year of admission.
Candidates must have passed or be studying in Class V and should pass before joining.
Admission through OMR-based Common Entrance Test (CET) followed by an interview and medical examination.
Both boys and girls are eligible; 10% of seats or 30 maximum across all schools reserved for girls.
Application period usually September–October; CET held in December.
Four sections: English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Intelligence (Reasoning), Mathematics.
50 questions per section, 200 marks total, 2.5 hours duration, OMR based.
No negative marking.

70% seats for defence JCOs/OR wards, 30% for officers/civilians.
Category reservations: 27% OBC, 15% SC, 7.5% ST.
Special seats for children of personnel killed in action, and up to 10% for girls.
Structured day: physical training, classes, self-study, games, and preparation time.
Full residential; no day scholars allowed.
RMS Class 6 aims to develop discipline, academic excellence, and physical fitness in a military environment while also offering modern educational and boarding facilities.
Interview and Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify in the CET will proceed to these stages.
